3 children hit by a vehicle in Lathbridge Crosswalk and made allegations after being injured

The Lathbridge Police Service has accused the pedestrian collision which sent three children to the hospital.

The tragedy took place at 7:30 am on January 20, when three brothers and sisters were hit by a vehicle at the intersection of 13 Avenue and 23 Street North in South Alberta City.

EMS initially took children – known as Marcus, 14, Juliana, 7, and 5 -year -old Zoy – in Lathbridge’s Chinook Regional Hospital, but three were transported to Calgary for further treatment.

Update BUC Neline Booked Family The zoo suffered minor injuries, while Julia ended in the ICU and Marcus underwent surgery for several injuries.

On March 5, the police said that the children were no longer in the hospital and continued their recovery.

Police said their investigation has decided that children were crossing the marked crosswalk while traveling to the south to the north 23 Street.

The driver stopped and stayed on the scene.

Lathbridge’s 60 -year -old Janice Elizabeth Madsen has been accused of failing to receive every three counts of negligent driving and a pedestrian in crosswalks.

Madsen is scheduled to appear in court on March 25.
