Ahmedabad: 32 airports, including Gujarat, were closed as part of security during Operation Sindur. Which have been re -functioning for the general public today. Five days later the flights from these airports have resumed. The Airports Authority of India announced a press release that a reference notification was issued to temporarily close the 32 airports for civil aircraft operations by 05:29 pm on May 15, 2025. Now these airports are available for civil aircraft operations with immediate effect. Travelers are advised to check the flight status directly with the airlines and inspect the airline websites for regular updates.
32 airports across the country were closed for security amid tensions of Pakistan. The Airport Authority of India (AAI) and the relevant aviation authorities have issued a notice to the Airman (Notam) to open 32 airports in the north and west of the country. AAI said in a statement, “Pay attention, reference notification has been issued for temporary closure of 32 airports for civil airports by May 15, 2025. It is reported that this airport is now available for civic aircraft operations with immediate effect.”

Seven airports from Gujarat were also closed. Which have been resumed.
