New Delhi: A total of 70 drug samples were found to be standard quality (NSQ) by the Central Drug Regulatory Body in the latest round of the survey.

The matter is under investigation and action will be taken in accordance with the laws and rules, the source said, said
“This procedure for identifying NSK and enthusiastic drugs is taken on a regular basis in collaboration with the state regulators,” said a senior health ministry official, “these drugs are identified and removed from the market,” said a senior health ministry official.
Drug regulatory organizations do random samples and tests on a regular basis to view and warn officials about the potential violation of Good Manufacturing Practice (GMP).
Officials said there was no significant increase in the number of samples found in the desired standards. However, they add that the government maintains pressure, so the production process improves further and there is no violation.
Recently, CDSCO introduced a new guide for observations. It states that all drug observers in the country should collect at least 10 samples a month; Nine samples of drugs and a sample of cosmetics/medical device. Also, new guidelines said that drug observers must plan the samples in such a way that the samples should be sent to the laboratory on the same day.
In the case of a rural location or a distant location, the samples will be sent to the laboratory by the next day and not later, according to the guide. The new guide also offers central information on sales outlets where sub-mortem or incredibly products are reported to keep them under regular vigilance.
