Bihar Elections 2025: For the Bihar assembly elections, former minister and Lalu Yadav’s elder son Tej Pratap Yadav will file his candidature from Mahua seat today i.e. 15th October. He gave this information through a post on social media platform X late Wednesday evening. It is worth mentioning that this seat is currently held by RJD and Dr. Mukesh Roshan is the current MLA from this seat.
Tej Pratap challenging his father and brother
The announcement makes it clear that Tej Pratap Yadav is now challenging both his younger brother and father’s party RJD in Bihar politics. He took to his social media account X and announced to file nomination from Mahua. He also invited the people of Mahua to participate in his nomination. They are reaching Mahua at 1:00 PM today.
I fulfilled my promise: Tej Pratap
After being expelled from RJD, Tej Pratap Yadav is seen in full fire mode. Addressing the people of Mahua through his social media account, he said that I have fulfilled my promise. I promised medical college, I have fulfilled that promise. Now I promise to provide engineering college and that too will be completed in future.

Tej Pratap is currently MLA from Hasanpur.
For information, let us tell you that Tej Pratap Yadav became a minister in the Nitish government after becoming an MLA from Mahua for the first time in 2015. In the 2020 assembly elections, Lalu Yadav changed his seat from Mahua to Hasanpur and Tej Pratap became MLA from Hasanpur. But he could never wholeheartedly accept the decision to change his seat. In the beginning of the year 2025, during a rally in Mahua, he announced that he will contest assembly elections from Mahua and when he files his nomination from Mahua today, it will be interesting to see what will be RJD’s next move, as the seat is currently held by him.
