Bihar Election: Bihar 2025 before the next assembly elections, the Election Commission of India has started special preparations to make the list of voters in the state true and flawless. For this purpose, a special research campaign will be conducted in all 243 legislative constituencies, the commission will soon announce the detailed dates.
The campaign will run as an update of 2025 as a base. The Commission has clarified that this will be the last special research program this year, according to which citizens will be able to use their franchise in the next assembly elections.
The Commission set four qualifications dates to add the names of the youth
- January 1
- April 1
- 1 July
- 1 October
Those citizens who have completed these dates at the age of 18, will be eligible to add names to the voters’ list. Specifically by 1 October 2025, youths will be able to join the list of 18 years of voters.
So far, more than 7 million voters, 8 lakh youth voters
According to recent data, the total number of voters in Bihar has reached 7,80,22,933 in the update list of 2025. Of these, the new voters between the ages of 18 and 19 are 8,08,857. The commission has the burden on joining more and more young voters at this time.
Training is also fast, election machinery is active
To make the voter’s list true and transparent, the Commission runs training programs in several stages so far. It includes booth level officials of all district magistrates and election registration officers, representatives of political parties.

According to sources, the Bihar assembly elections are likely to be held in October or November. In such a case, the task of adding, removing or improving the name to the voters’ list will continue till the registration process.
