The situation is worsening in one country in Central Africa. Rwanda -backed rebels claimed to have occupied Goma, the largest city in the East Congo on Monday morning. The Kongi government said that there was a ‘announcement of war’ of the rebels. At the same time, the United Nations has said about the incident that two million people in the city are in great panic.

The rebels appealed to the people to be quiet

M-23 rebels have announced the capture of the city of Goma in a statement. The rebels made the announcement to the Kongi army shortly before the end of the 48 -hour deadline was given to put their weapons under their weapons. In the statement, the rebels called on the people of Goma to calm down and gather members of the Kongi army at the Central Stadium.

The situation in Goma worsens

According to the UN report, a third part of the North Kiwu province is currently displaced and if the rebels occupy Goma, the situation may worsen here. The city of Goma is located in the north Kiwi province. UN Peacekeepers launched action on the service members who surrendered in the outside of the city late Sunday night.

‘The state of war in the country’

In a video posted on social media platform X, Kongi government spokesman Patrick Muya called for the protection of citizens, saying that the country was in a state of war. Congo has also broken diplomatic relations with Rwanda. Congo says Rwanda is supporting the rebels.
