Metro train time has been changed due to the IPL 2025 match in Ahmedabad today. With this, some of the city’s roads will be closed today.
Ahmedabad: The IPL 2025 match between Gujarat Titans and Punjab Kings will be played today on March 25 in the city. The city has issued a notification by the traffic police to prevent the traffic problem in the city due to the match at Narendra Modi Stadium. Information on some routes has been given on a restricted-diverse and alternative route for over-fever of all types of vehicles. Metro train time has also been changed due to IPL matches in the city. Narendra Modi at Cricket Stadium The upcoming IPL’s Day-Night Cricket Matches to be held on March 25, 29, April 2nd, May 2nd and 14th. The GMRC has decided to extend the metro train services in Ahmedabad from 6.20am to 12.30pm. On the other hand, the Meteorological Department has said that the weather in Ahmedabad will be dry today.

From Ahmedabad city Janpath Tea to Motora Stadium main gate, grace residency tea will be restricted to the movement of vehicles from Motorra Village Tea. From Tapovan Circle, ONGC can be moved from Visat Tea to Janpath Tea to the Power House four-way and from the road to Prabodraval Circle. As well as the Grace Residency Tea, Sharan States can be over-fever through the four-way Bhat Koteshwar Road.
Know this if you want to go to the metro
The current deadline for metro train services in Ahmedabad is from 6.20am to 10pm. During the long time from 10pm to 12.30pm, only the Motor Stadium Metro Station and Sabarmati Metro Station can be seated in metro and from there, both corridors of Ahmedabad metro (from Motor to APMC and Thaltej village to Thaltej village) can be found. In addition, the GMRC has issued a special paper ticket, returning from Motorra Stadium in the days of IPL matches shown above, so that the passengers of the Metro are not having trouble. The features of the Special Paper Ticket are as follows.
Metro’s time and rent
- Special paper ticket fare will be ₹ 50 per person, which can be used for traveling from Motorra Stadium and Sabarmati Metro Station to any operating metro station on both lines of Ahmedabad Metro.
- In addition to special paper tickets, entries with contactless smart tokens, contactless smart cards (GMRC travel card and NCMC card), QR digital ticket and QR paper tickets will also be available on regular rent till 10.00pm. Kiosk, token vending machine, ticket counter, ticket already purchased from the mobile app (QR/Token) will not be valid after 10.00pm.
- Only special paper tickets will be allowed to enter the Motorra Stadium and Sabarmati Metro Station after 10.00pm.
- Special paper tickets can be purchased in advance from troll cross road, apparel park, Kalupur, Old High Court, Thalatej, Motor, Sabarmati, Ranip, Vadaj and Jivraj Metro stations during the day of the match. So when returning, standing in line for tickets can be avoided at Motora Stadium Metro Station. It is a humble request to note the public that metro train services between Motorra Stadium to Gandhinagar will remain in accordance with Rabeta.
- Metro trains in Ahmedabad will be available every 8 minutes during the above mentioned dates. Metro trains will be available every 6 minutes from the Motor Stadium Metro Station and Sabarmati Metro Station during the period from 10pm to 12.30pm. The last train departure from the Motora Metro Station will be at 12.30 pm.
