Ahmedabad: A 24-year-old student from the city has cut her life short in Kota, Rajasthan. Two cases of suicide have been reported in Kota in just two hours on Wednesday. In the morning, a student of Ahmedabad committed suicide by hanging. In the afternoon, a student from Assam committed suicide by hanging himself in his hostel. Both these incidents have shaken the people of Rajasthan’s academic city of Kota. It is to be noted that six cases of suicide have been reported in the last 15 days.

The student was preparing for NEET

Afsha Sheikh, a 24-year-old coaching student living in Pratiksha Residency in Jawahar Nagar Police Station area of ​​Kota, Rajasthan, has committed suicide. Afsha Sheikh was a resident of Ahmedabad, Gujarat. She came to Pratiksha residence only 6 months ago. This student had appeared for NEET many times before. She was currently doing self-study and tutoring in required subjects. On Wednesday morning, Jawahar Nagar police station got information about his suicide. ASI Lalit Kumar of the police station has confirmed the incident and his body has been kept at the mortuary of MBS Hospital. After the arrival of the family members, the post mortem will be done.

No final note found

This student lived in old Rajiv Gandhi Nagar. He has committed suicide by hanging himself in the room of the flat. However, the police did not find any final note from the room.

A student from Assam also committed suicide

As for another student, Parag, a student from Nagaon city in Assam state, who was staying in a hostel in Mahaveer Nagar area of ​​the same police station area, committed suicide by hanging himself. According to information received from the police, the student had been staying in Kota for two years and was taking coaching to prepare for the engineering entrance exam. The student’s JEE exam was on January 27. But before that, 18-year-old coaching student Parag committed suicide. Initial investigation has also revealed that the mother of the deceased student is also present in Kota.
