Baloch separatists have attacked the Pakistani army in Balochistan province, Pakistan. At least 17 Pakistani soldiers have been killed in the Baloch attack. According to a report, an armed separatist group attacked a frontier corps camp in the Mangochhar area of Kalat district of Balochistan late Friday night. Baloch separatists continued to fire on the Pakistani army all night. In addition, extremists have occupied the Quetta-Karachi National Highway and targeted Pakistani army vehicles there.
17 Pakistani soldiers killed in rebellion attacks
At least 17 Pakistani soldiers have been killed and three others were seriously injured in the separatists’ attack on Friday night in Balochistan’s Kalat, according to the report, most people were killed in a vehicle attack on the national highway. The vehicle is said to be of the Pakistani army. Baloch separatists have attacked in different places and continued to fire all night. The report quoted independent sources as saying that two extremists were killed along with the Pakistani army in the shootings in Kalat district. However, this has not yet been confirmed.
Attack at the Assistant Commissioner’s residence in Kalat
Local officials said the shooting in the area has now been stopped. Baloch International has reported that the residence of the Assistant Commissioner was also attacked in Kalat, along with firing on buses in Khalik Abad. The Pakistani army is once again facing extremist attacks. After a Taliban return in Afghanistan, extremists have intensified their attacks against the Pakistani army in the areas of Balochistan and Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.
