Talking to Local 18, Diksha Kadam said that aerial yoga, sometimes called anti-gravity yoga or flying yoga, is a modern form of yoga. It contains a mixture of traditional yoga, pilots and dance, which is done using soft and strong fabric (hemoc) hanging in the air. The hemoc supports the body, causing yoga to be done with deeper and less stress. This increases flexibility, strength, balance and peace of mind. This is useful for all age groups and people with fitness levels.
Benefits of Aerial Yoga:
1) Physical flexibility and power: Hemoc is less pressure on the muscles and joints, which increases flexibility.
2) Mental Peace: The experience of hanging in the air reduces stress and promotes attention.
3) Bead Health: Inverted condition improves beads and reduces back pain.
4) Fun and creative: This type is funny and fun than traditional yoga.
How to do aerial yoga?
The aerial yoga is done under the guidance of a trainer trained at the studio or yoga center with the help of a hemoc. The following is its process:
1) Proper clothing: tight, flexible and comfortable clothing (such as, leggings and T-shirts). Don’t wear jewelry or sharp items.
2) Equipment: The hemoc is hung on a strong ceiling and its height is about 2-3 feet above the ground.
3) Atmosphere: A calm and safe studio, where the trainer examines everyone’s hemoc.
Warm-up
1) The session begins with mild stretching and respiratory exercise.
2) Using a hemoca, the body is easy to match with its flexibility, such as a light hammock.

Chief seat
1) Sitting Pose: Sitting on a hemoc and hanging legs or supporting it, like a sunburn or a tree.
2) Inversion Pose: With the help of a hammock, it hangs upside down, such as a downward dog or headstand, which increases the length of the bead.
3) Floating Pose: Warrior Pose floating in the air, asana like Plank or Chandrasan.
Hemoc is used for support, for balance or deep stretching.
Vishwam
The session ends with the asana of Vishwam, like a wise, where you sleep in the hemoc and calm the body and mind. These include guided meditation or long respiration.
Protection
1) Follow the trainer’s instructions carefully.
2) Do not push much on the hemoc and respect your body limitations.
3) Pregnant women, high blood pressure or heart disease should consult a doctor, says Yoga Trainer Diksha Kadam.
