‘Breathing thread’, a fashion event, was organized by the Government of India for the Government of India Development Commissioner, Handloom, Ministry of Textiles, Government of India.

The purpose of this incident was to feel the pulse of craftsmanship, respect a living heritage, and to demonstrate the timeless elegance of the Indian handloom in the modern silhouette. The show was organized in coordination with Vaishali S Coucher, Verry S ThreadSstorys Private Limited, Mumbai and Handloom Export Promotion Council on the occasion of Bharat Tex 2025 at Amphitheater at Bharat Mandapam.

The show carried forward the clothes woven in villages from 5 different states. West Bengal, Madhya Pradesh, Uttar Pradesh, Karnataka and Rajasthan. In 30, twenty models show these weaving, wrapped in 7 separate weaving techniques: Chanderi, Maheshwari, Jamdani, Khun, Banarasi, Kota Doria, Murshidabad. Each weaving was ornate with creative unique texture and koring, The Ministry of Clothing said in a press release.

The event was a will for the huge skills required to craft hand woven fabrics, hard work and creativity, while also how a traditional craft can be elevated in a global luxury brand. The show was a major success when the power of Indian heritage garments was demonstrated when the global language was given. It has enchanted buyers from foreign countries like Australia, UK, France, Germany, Italy, Russia, Sri Lanka, Bangladesh, Kuwait, Chile etc. Done Clothing, Government of India.
