Ahmedabad: Gujarat Chamber of Commerce and Industry has today launched ‘AI for Manufacturing’ certificate course in association with Gujarat Technological University in Ahmedabad. A famous industrialist was present at the Gujarat Chamber of Commerce to give information about this. A seminar was held on how artificial intelligence will be useful in the manufacturing sector and how it can equip various skills.
The president of Gujarat Chamber of Commerce said that this special type of course will be beneficial for the businessmen of Gujarat due to the synergy between education and industry. GCCI President Sandeep Engineer emphasized the important role of industry-academia collaboration in achieving technological innovation, sustainable progress and success in the future competitive environment of the manufacturing sector. It further stated that such partnerships are essential to equip the workforce with the skills required to navigate the rapidly evolving landscape of advanced technologies, including artificial intelligence. Active engagement between industry leaders and academic institutions is essential to create a robust ecosystem for skill development in the manufacturing sector.

GTU Adviser Dr. Mihir Shah said that in the current age of cutting-edge technology, he reiterated the university’s commitment to promote adaptive learning and provide an enabling environment for innovation and skill development to meet the evolving demands of the manufacturing sector for which AI will prove effective. On the other hand, the keynote speaker of Gujarat Technological University Dr. Rajul K. Gajjar, Hon’ble Vice Chancellor, GTU highlighted the transformative potential of AI in revolutionizing manufacturing processes and the need for a skilled workforce capable of spearheading industrial innovation.
In an event held at Gujarat Chamber of Commerce, Senior Program Manager Saloni Singhal said that AI is being effectively leveraged for success in various sectors in Asia Pacific and Japan, which has also significantly improved product quality. For this, Intel spoke specifically about Intel’s global initiative to enable digital readiness, the tools educational institutions need, and training to various participants to leverage AI effectively. The event was held to highlight the transformative multiple possibilities of AI in the future of manufacturing and advanced technology and to promote the importance of establishing a special collaboration between academia and industry through such diverse activities.

The event also featured two technical seminars for faculty development on ‘Unlocking Data Insights with Orange Data Mining Tool: Demand for Casting’; A seminar was held on data driven decision making. While ‘Teachable Machine and Anomaly Detection with Python’ a seminar was held to provide hands on experience on proper use of AI.
