Westjate announced a multi-billion de dollar long-term commercial agreement with German Aircraft Services firm Lufthansa Technique to create a new aircraft engine maintenance facility in Calgary.
About 50 Boeing 737 Max of Lufthansa Technique Westjet will install and manage a new engine repair station at Calgary Airport to serve the airport, which makes up about a quarter of its fleet.

Westjet CEO Alexis von Honesbratch says the airline is estimated to have more than 130 aircraft before the end of the decade.
The feature will be created by the Calgary Airport Authority and will cost around $ 120 million, and will start operation in 2027.
