Fawad Khan and Vani Kapoor starrer film Abir Gulal was scheduled to release on May 9. Fawad was about to comeback in Bollywood through this film. But the release of the film was banned due to the terrorist attack in Pahalgam and the disputed statements of Pakistani actors on India’s counter -operations vermilion. The film’s composer Amit Trivedi gave his reaction to the matter. He says that he has no grief due to the release of the film. This decision was taken keeping ‘India First’ in mind and he fully supports it.
Actually, Amit Trivedi attended the film’s music launch event in Dubai. During this time, he was asked that it takes a lot of time and hard work to prepare the sound track of a project, is there a problem when that project is never released? Amit said yes in response to this.
He further said, ‘Not only Abir Gulal, but whatever I do with honesty and hard work, it becomes a part of my heart. Therefore, the stopping of a project is disappointing. We make our music to reach the audience and this is your biggest desire as an artist. But the circumstances in this case were very different. My country is the first to me, everything is above him. ‘

AICWA banned the film
The All India Cine Workers Association (AICWA) banned the film’s release completely. The film will neither come to theaters nor on OTT. Along with this, Aicwa had also sought an explanation from the film’s makers whether they want to release this film on cinemas or OTT in future.
Aicwa wrote on X, the film ‘Abir Gulal’ stars Pakistani actor Fawad Khan, so the film has been completely banned. Fawad Khan is from the country which repeatedly attacks India. This is the same Aicwa that banned all Pakistani artists, singers, filmmakers and financers in India after the Pulwama attack. If ‘Abir Gulal’ is allowed to release in India, then it will be cheated on our country and insulting our martyrs.
