Matiala Assembly Constituency: Matiala assembly seat came into existence after 2008 delimitation. It is one of the 10 West Delhi Lok Sabha constituencies. Besides, this Lok Sabha constituency has Uttam Nagar, Rajouri Garden, Hari Nagar, Tilak Nagar, Janakpuri, Vikaspuri, Dwarka, Madipur and Najafgarh constituencies.

2025 candidates

The Aam Aadmi Party has canceled the ticket of the two-time MLA from Matiala. This time the party has expressed confidence in Sumesh Shaukin instead of Gulab Singh Yadav. While BJP has made Sandeep Sehrawat its candidate. While Congress has given ticket to Raghuvinder Shaukin from here.

How was the state of the last four elections?

Aam Aadmi Party has been dominant twice in the last four elections. While once BJP and once Congress candidates have won from here.
2008 Election – Won from Sumesh Matiala of Congress in 2008. He defeated BJP’s Kamal Jeet.

Rajesh Gehlot won from here in 2013. He defeated Aam Aadmi Party’s Gulab Singh.

Aam Aadmi Party candidate Gulab Singh won in 2015 and 2020. Both times he defeated BJP’s Rajesh Gehlot.
