The Federation of Western India Cine Employees (FWICE) has appealed to the Indian producer to boycott the Turks. Ashok Pandit, Chief Advisor of Federation FWICE, has written a letter and requested all Indian filmmakers to think before choosing the Turki as a shooting location. He has cited the increasing support of Turkas towards Pakistan in matters affecting India’s national interests.

The nation comes first in the letter

The letter states- ‘FWICE has always been adamant that the nation is the first. In view of recent developments and Turkas taking a constant stand in support of Pakistan, which has created concerns about security and national security. We believe that it is not in the interest of the Indian film industry to invest or collab in any form that indirectly supports or benefits such a country.

The Turkis have been seen not only diplomatically but also on different international forums, where it has taken the opposite of India’s sovereign interests. Since this industry lies deeply in Indian soil and culture, we cannot be indifferent to the dignity or security actions of our country.

We appeal to all the production houses of the Indian film fraternity, line producers, actors, directors and crew members to stand solidarily with the country and boycott the Turks for film shooting until the country rethinks its diplomatic stance and is not associated with the principles of mutual respect and non-interference. ‘

Aicwa spoke strict action against those who go against decision

After the FWICE, the All Indian Cine Workers Association has also announced a complete boycott of Turks for film shooting and cultural. Aicwa has said in its judgment that no Bollywood or Indian film project will be shot in Turkis with immediate effect. No Indian filmmakers, production houses, directors or financiers will be allowed to carry any film, television or digital content projects in Turks.

Any kind of collaboration will be banned with the Turkas Artists and Producers. Turki actors, filmmakers, production houses and other creative professionals will no longer be allowed to work in the Indian Entertainment Industry.

Any existing contract or agreement with Turki institutions should be reviewed and where possible, it should be abolished. AICWA will closely monitor Indian film professionals and organization activities for monitoring this instruction. Strict action will be taken against any person or institution violating this decision.
