Game Changer Movie Review: Pan India movies have become the talk of the town these days. Pan India film Pushpa 2 which released last year has not stopped earning at the box office yet another pan India film has knocked a game changer at the beginning of this new year. The budget of the film is said to be Rs 450 crore, the director of the film is Shankar and the face of the film is global star Ram Charan. That too in a double role, which is back on the silver screen after the film RRR, but all these aspects together did not make the game changer an entertaining experience as the story and screenplay are very weak and the old treatment on top. Which has spoiled the experience of the film.

The story is reminiscent of films like Nayak and Shivaji

If we look at the career of director Shankar, the basis of the story of his films has been corruption. Game Changer is no exception in this regard. The story of the film is by Ram Nandan (Ram Charan). He is an IAS officer. If there is a hero in a film, there should be honesty. He wants to make the state corruption free. Meanwhile, he faces competition from the state chief minister’s son Mopidevi (SJ Surya). Suddenly the CM (Srikanth) dies causing a rift between them, but before his death what is the reason behind the CM announcing Ram Nandan as his successor instead of his sons? Does Ram Nandan’s family have any past, will he be able to end corruption by sitting on the Chief Minister’s chair? Will Mopidevi make Ram’s way easier?

Advantages and Disadvantages of Film

If it is a South film then the hero will definitely become the messiah of the common people. It’s here too. He is an IAS and can rein in corrupt leaders if the Election Commission wants. This aspect has also found a place in the film. The concept of the film may seem good once but thousands of films have been made on it. Shankar himself has made several films on corruption in politics. If the subject of the film is old, its treatment seems even older. At two hours and 45 minutes, the first half of the film has become too long. Kiara and Ramcharan’s romantic track seems to have the feel of 90s movies. Even Sunil’s comedy doesn’t inspire hope before the interval, Ram Charan’s character shown in flashbacks adds to the impact of the story, but after half an hour the focus again on the story and screenplay was Appanna’s story. The film could have been stronger if that story had been the basis of the film, but that story and its characters got more space. In terms of editing, the film has been very poor. While watching the scenes, one feels that it has started suddenly and it has ended suddenly. Talking about the songs and music of the film, it was much discussed. The film’s song budget is said to be Rs 45 crore. While watching the film, one feels that this was not necessary. Along with increasing the budget of the film, he has worked to increase the length of the film that the grandeur associated with its shooting is nothing special on the screen. Technical aspect, this film has done something special. Actions are routine and dialogues are also ineffective.

Ramcharan is solid in the double role

Ram Charan is in a double role in the film. He has left a mark in both the roles, but his performance in the flashback character has stood out. SJ Surya has impressed in the role of the corrupt leader, but for its Hindi dubbing, Kiara Advani didn’t need much work in the film. Another actress of the film Anjali has shown her talent in limited screen time, rest of the characters are doing well in their respective roles.
