Patna: The Kankarbag STP of Digha and Kankarbagh has been temporarily closed due to the water level of the Ganges and the Panapan river. Water Digha has entered the STP campus. It also has a ging of water in the exterior. Because of this, the work of sewer water treatment has been disrupted. By the time the STP is closed, about 18 thousand houses will go directly into the Ganges and Panapan river. Budco has stopped operations. The operation of both plants will be resumed only after the water level is reduced.

It is known that Digha STP built under the Namami Gang project includes ward number one, 20 to 26 and 28. Here two MLDs were treated from Kurji Nallah and 38 MLD sewers from Rajpur Nala. In the network of Kankarbagh STP, ward number 29 to 35 and 45, where 20 MLD sewers are being treated from Agamkuan Drain. According to Budco, both STPs will be resumed when the water level dropped in September.

Currently, the networking work of the sewer has also been stopped in view of the monsoon. 303 km in Daigha STP and 150 km in Kankarbagh. The sewer network is to be built, but about 40 percent of the work has been completed so far.
