Jackson and other Democrats proposed an improvement in Watson’s bill, which will continue to avoid medical and emotional risks to the minor in the middle of the treatment that is already being received by the minor, but the improvement failed.

Democrat Sen. Sally Harele, who has two transgender children, said he wanted “remind people that we are talking about very real people – parents, children, families.”
San. Freddie Powell Sims was the only Democrat who voted for both bills, while four Democrats supported the bill banning gender-transhanting treatment for prisoners.
Last month, Senate passed bills to ban biological boys from playing in girls’ games and stripped public funds for gender-transhanting treatment for adults.
Four bills will now go home.
