Gujarat Sustainability Summit 2025 organized by GCCI

At this summit, Policy Makers, Industry Leaders and Sustainability Experts served as a platform to collaborate and share insights on global Best practices. Participants in production, technology, energy and financial sectors, as well as international representatives of the UK, Denmark and the Netherlands, contributed to discussions, emphasizing the global relevance of sustainability.

GCCI President Sandeep Engineer welcomed Jaksha Shah, president of the Quality Council of India; GCCI Vice President Mr. A. Former Shah at this summit; GCCI Honorable Secretary Gaurang Bhagat; Speakers and guests including ESG Taskforce Chairman Sameer Sinha were present. Sandeep Engineer emphasized the importance of the summit as a landmark in the creation of a strong future for Gujarat, India and the world. He emphasized the increasing importance of adopting ESG, ESG is no longer a controversial word but a global requirement. He emphasized that regulators and consumers are increasingly prioritizing durability, Indian companies should align with the European Union’s developing global standards to stay competitive in the international supply chain. He also discussed in detail the cause of the formation of the ESG Task Force dedicated to facilitate ESG compliance for small, small and medium industries (MSMES). Reflecting in an initiative like Panchamrit, he reiterated the urgent urge to align, active ESG with the Vision of Prime Minister Shri Narendrabhai Modi.

Jaksha Shah, president of the Quality Council of India (QCI), described the summit as a proof of the industrial leadership of Gujarat. He emphasized that as India developed India is moving towards the Vision of 2047, Gujarat should play a leading role in advancing sustainable industrial development. He noted that under the leadership of Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi, India is emerging fast as a global center for renewable energy, sustainable manufacturing and digital transformation. He as a strategic roadmap for India’s sustainable industrial future, Pride Framework, Predus and Protect, Reduce Carbon, Impact and Innovate, Dominate Through Dilidge, and Avold Ecosystem (Preserve & Protect, Impact & Innovate, Dominate, Dilignence and Evolved Ecosystem). He further emphasized that Gujarat’s development is important for India’s ambition to become a developed nation by 2047.

The summit held in -depth sessions on important topics:

  • Receiving Net Zero Target in 2070 with strong Gujarat vision
  • Global durability peripheral • Economics of low carbon transition with profitability
  • The need for MSME and collective industry action ready for the future
  • The Green Policy and Finance GCCI in India concluded with the goal of prophetic and cooperation of Gujarat Sustainability Summit 2025.

ESG Taskforce Chairman Sameer Sinha highlighted the key issues of the summit, emphasizing the importance of collective action to achieve Sustaineability targets. He said that all stakeholders, businesses, polysmakers, academic and society needed active participation for strong future travel. He highlighted the role of the summit to bring about a meaningful change and requested participants to convert discussions and strategies to an efficient initiative compatible with global durability standards.

More than 20 prestigious organizations including IIT-Gandhinagar, Center for Sustainability and Corporate Governance Research, Indian Institute of Management, Ahmedabad and Adani University participated in the program, presenting various perspectives and skills. Sustainability leaders of leading corporations presented their efforts and experiences, highlighting the importance of integrating strong methods in business operations.

The Summit emphasized the commitment to GCCI’s sustainability, which reflects the collective validity of the need to align with national and global sustainability goals. In line with this commitment, the event achieved carbon impartiality by compensating for an estimated 16 ton CO2 emissions through the Miawaki Tree Plantation Initiative, with more than 650 trees planted.

The GCCI Gujarat Sustainability Summit 2025 concluded with a huge task, in which business, policemen, industry leaders have been insisted on making Sustainability a pillar of the economic future of Gujarat and India. This event established an example for future cooperation, which strengthens the inevitability of mass efforts to achieve durable and rich tomorrow.
