India is lagging behind many poor and unstable countries in the world in terms of living a happy life. People here are more happy than people from countries like Pakistan, Iran, Ukraine. On Thursday, the University of Oxford’s Wellbying Research Center, Galop and the United Nations Sustainable Development Solutions Network published the World Happiness Report 2025, according to which India ranks 118th in 147 countries.

India’s score improved in this year’s Happiness Report

India is behind Pakistan (109), Nepal (in 92), Iran (100), Palestine (103th) in the case of happiness. Rankings measure countries based on factors such as per capita income, social support, healthy life, independence, generosity and perception of corruption during 2022-2024. However, India’s score has improved in the Happiness Report this year. It has improved to 4.389. But people have kept it lower due to lack of corruption and generosity. Finland, the Northern Europe’s Nordic Country, was the world’s happening country for the eighth year for the eighth consecutive year with an average score of 7.736. The report highlighted this. They have a high level of happiness. For example, Finland’s people are confident that if they are lost, their purse will be backed and the possibility of getting lost purse is the highest. A slight improvement in India’s score is a positive sign, however, if you want to increase happiness in India, work in the field of social support, corruption and generosity.
