If you too are spending thousands of rupees with the help of private doctors to be thin, you will no longer have to spend any such cost, as you will get this treatment at a government hospital in Gujarat. The initiative of Dietitian OPD at the Civil Hospital and Obesity Management Research by IIM Ahmedabad are important steps in this direction.
Dietitian OPD started at Civil Hospital

Mandavita Awareness programs are held in schools
In the city and district, children are taught the importance of nutritious diet and physical activity in government schools. In many schools, junk food has been banned and nutritious grains like ragi, millet are promoted. These measures help prevent childhood obesity. Awareness programs are also organized in schools regarding obesity.
Private hospitals costs expensive
Many private hospitals in the city provide special services in the field of obesity prevention. All kinds of treatments including diet planning, meditation, weight loss, bariatric surgery are made available. In these hospitals, patients are also provided with gastric bypass, sleeve gastractomy, personal dietary plans and psychological support. But their costs cannot be afforded. Following this, Madasvita Free Gujarat Campaign has been launched in the state.
