Ahmedabad: Gujarat Meteorological Department has predicted the next 7 days, expressing the possibility of heatwave and severe heat. Alert has been given in the state with the possibility of heatwave in Kutch, Rajkot, Junagadh, Porbandar, Banaskantha, Sabarkantha, Patan, Mehsana, Gandhinagar in North Gujarat. Along with this, the heat rate is also predicted in the parts of Saurashtra-Kutch and South Gujarat. AK Das, director of the Meteorological Department, has expressed the possibility of heatwave but no forecast has been made. On the other hand, the temperature is likely to cross 40 to 43 degrees in the state.
