Ahmedabad: Usually after any surgery or after any physical-mental impairment or joint pain relief people are treated by physiotherapy. Then in the Physiotherapy Center operating since 1982 and located at Andhajan Mandal, Ahmedabad, therapy is provided to needy people free of cost through different advanced equipment.

Giving information about this, Assistant Course Coordinator of Physiotherapy Center Dr. Talking to Architbhai Shah, he said that in today‘s busy lifestyle, people have problems with shoulder, neck, knee, sciatica, headache etc. Since 1982, Nandini Ramesh Gandhi School of Physiotherapy Center run by Seth Harilal Harivallabhdas Charity Trust at Andhajan Mandal in Vastrapur, Ahmedabad has been treating patients free of charge with advanced electronic equipment.

In which the patient is treated with shortwave diathermy, electrotherapy, ultrasound, lumbar traction, cervical traction, CPM, TNS, paraffin wax bath, etc. Stimulator, interference therapy, vibrator, vacuum therapy, high power diathermy, muscle stimulator etc. are treated. Also, equipment like pulley, parallel bar, wall bar, mirror, cordricep table, pedocycle, shoulder wheel, flat foot board are also used for some simple exercises.

The purpose of providing treatment and starting the course here is that the visually impaired students can become a foothold financially and create a unique identity in the society and the needy people can get free treatment. Here, physiotherapy is provided to a person suffering from polio, mental retardation, disability, paralysis, congenital malformation, humpback, cerebral palsy, burns, surgery or any physical limb pain. Not only this, along with treatment by experts, necessary medicines are also given here.

So far more than 500 visually impaired students are working abroad including India after learning physiotherapy course. Here, people from six months old to older people are treated effectively. Around 120 to 130 patients take advantage of this treatment center here every day. Patients come from far off areas to avail the physiotherapy services run by this institute. The Physiotherapy Center is open Monday to Friday from 10.30 am to 1.30 pm and from 2.30 pm to 4.30 pm.
