Among the released women hostages were Liri Albagh (19), Kareena Ariv (20), Deneala Gilboa (20) and Nama Levi (20). The Israeli PMO said, “The government and all security officials will stand with them and their families.” The Palestinian terrorist group on Friday announced the names of four Israeli women hostages, entering the sixth day of the 6 -week ceasefire between Israel and Hamas. The exchanged agreement states that the Palestinian prisoners will be released in exchange for Israeli women soldiers.

Promise to release 50 prisoners in exchange for every female soldier

Israel has promised to release 50 Palestinian prisoners in exchange for every Israeli woman soldier released by Hamas. Officials estimate that under this arrangement, four hostages will be released in exchange for 200 Palestinian prisoners. With the support of the United States, the ceasefire by Qatar and Egypt is the first consistent break in the fight after the short ceasefire in November 2023. Hamas has agreed to release 33 hostages in exchange for hundreds of Palestinian prisoners in Israeli prisons during this phase. More negotiations will be focused on releasing the rest of the hostages and possibly withdrawing Israeli forces from Gaza.
