The National Family Health Survey (NFHS) is conducted in India to collect health and family welfare data. The survey is conducted in various states and union territories of the country with a sample -based method. Families are selected from rural and urban areas by random sampling. Using a questionnaire, information is collected from family members, including topics such as health, nutrition, education, gender equality and genital death. Survey teams go from house to house and interview and collect data, which is analyzed to formulate a policy.
