Why players wear green color ribbon

Players from both teams are seen wearing this ribbon to support BCCI’s “Donate organs, Save Life” initiatives. Before the third ODI, the BCCI announced the Angadan initiative, in which Indian team cricketers requested people to donate organs and save their lives in the video recorded.

In a video posted by BCCI, Virat Kohli, Shubhman Gill, Kuldeep Yadav, Harshit Rana, Yashwashi Jaiswal, Akshar Patel, Ravindra Jadeja and Arshadeep Singh were seen delivering the message.

In India, people still do not donate organs. In this situation, the purpose of this initiative, chaired by ICC President Jay Shah, is to raise awareness about this. Using this initiative, the purpose of the ICC is to bring about changes and inspire people to save the lives of as many people as possible.
