India Tensions: Jammu and Kashmir has been given a high alert after continuous tensions between India and Pakistan after Operation Sindur. In view of the current situation, all schools, colleges and educational institutions (private and government) have been closed on May 9 in Jammu, Samba, Kathua, Rajouri and Poonch districts.

School closed in districts next to the Punjab border

In view of the ongoing tensions with Pakistan, Punjab police have canceled the holidays of all its employees, while the state government has closed schools in six border districts. All the schools of Ferozepur, Pathankot, Fazilka, Amritsar, Gurdaspur and Taran Taran have been closed in Punjab to the next orders. Punjab Minister Aman Arora said, “Punjab distributes the border of 2 534 km with Pakistan. Therefore, the role of the Punjab government becomes very important during any military tension. All the districts near the border have been placed on ‘high alert’.

All schools are also closed in Rajasthan

The Rajasthan government has also canceled the holidays of all administrative officers and police personnel posted in the border areas. All governments and private schools have been closed in four border districts – under a precautionary move in Shri Ganganagar, Biker, Jaisalmar and Bermar Rajasthan.
