Eleven members of the Indian archery team, including two minors, were stranded in Dhaka for nearly 10 hours on Monday night. His flight back from Dhaka was repeatedly delayed. He was forced to board an unescorted local bus in the violence-torn Bangladesh capital. Later he had to stay in a bad hotel.

Abhishek Verma told PTI that his flight back from Dhaka was repeatedly delayed. He got very little help from the airline he had booked the ticket with. He further explained, “The inn we stayed in, which was supposed to be a guesthouse, was in a very bad condition. It had one room with six beds and only one toilet, which was extremely dirty. I don’t think anyone could bathe in it.”
