The controversy over the stand-up comedian time Raina’s show India’s show is increasing. After the Mumbai Police, now the Assam Police has also sent summons to Raina.
Two officials of the Assam Crime Branch reached Raina’s house in Balewadi, Pune. During this, he told that he has come to Guwahati to give him legal notice regarding the FIR lodged against him. Earlier, Assam Police also sent notice to Ranveer Alahabadia and Ashish Chanchalani.
Assam CM said- FIR was done in Guwahati
Assam CM Himant Biswa Sarma also informed about the FIR in the state about the matter. He had told in the X post that the Guwahati police have registered an FIR against Ashish Chanchalani, Jaspreet Singh, Apoorva Makhi, Ranveer Alahabadia, Samay Raina and others for promoting vulgarity in a show called ‘India’s Got Latent’.
Maharashtra Cyber Cell summoned time
On Thursday, Maharashtra Cyber Cell sent summons to Raina for the second time. The cyber cell has asked the time to appear before the investigating officer on Monday, 17 February.
On Wednesday, Raina’s lawyer told the cyber cell that time Raina is currently in the US and will return on March 17. He has also demanded more time to respond to summons.
Earlier on Wednesday, Raina gave clarification in the ongoing controversy over his show India’s Got Latant. He claimed on Instagram that he had removed all the videos of his show from YouTube. He also said that his aim was to make people laugh only.
Raina wrote time,

Whatever is happening, I am not able to handle it. I have removed all the videos of India’s Got Latant from my channel. My aim was just to make people laugh and give happiness. I will fully co-operate with all agencies so that they can be examined properly. Thank you.

Meanwhile, the producer and actor of the show Raghuram has reached the office of Maharashtra Cyber Cell. Raghu is in the judge panel of India’s Got latent show. Police have sent summons to many people from the judge panel of the show to record their statement.

Second FIR against time and Ranveer in Mumbai
In the case of lewd comments on parents in the show ‘India’s Got Latent’, two FIRs have been lodged against YouTuber Ranveer Alahabadia and Time Raina so far in Mumbai. This action has been taken by the cyber branch of Maharashtra Police. Apart from Ranveer and time, a case has also been registered against the 30 guests of the show who took part in the show from the first episode so far.
At the same time, the All Indian Cine Workers Association has written a letter to Home Minister Amit Shah for the ban on the show ‘India’s Got latent’. The association says that such shows are confusing the youth of the country. The Women’s Commission has also sent summons to Alahabadia, time Raina and others. All have been called to the NCW office on 17 February. A complaint has also been made against Ranveer Alahabadia in Indore.
Meanwhile, a team of 5 police officers reached the house of YouTuber Ranveer Alahabadia in Versova, Mumbai on Tuesday morning. On February 10, the Mumbai Police registered a case against the organizers of the show including the host of the show Raina, Ranveer Alahabadia and Apoorva Makhija.
On the demand of the National Human Rights Commission (NHRC), YouTube has removed the controversial episode of ‘India’s Got Latent’.
IT committee of Parliament can send notice
At the time of Raina’s YouTube show India’s Got Latant, the matter of making lewd comments on parents reached Parliament. On Tuesday, Shiv Sena (UBT) MP Priyanka Chaturvedi complained to the IT committee of Parliament and demanded action and issuing guidelines.
Priyanka Chaturvedi said that the use of abusive words in the name of comedy cannot be tolerated. The big politicians have come on the platform of Alahabadia, the PM has given him an award. This is not expected from a responsible person.
According to sources, the IT committee of Parliament is considering sending notices to Alahabadia in this case. Priyanka Chaturvedi is a member of this committee. According to the information, many more MPs have expressed their displeasure against it. Shiv Sena MP from Thane Naresh Ganpat Maske raised the issue in Parliament and demanded a law to prevent such content.
