At the same time, former KFCC president Sa Ra Govindu said that if the actor does not apologize till May 30, KFCC will not allow the film to be released here. He said, ‘We have no sympathy with Kamal Haasan. If he does not publicly apologize today or tomorrow, we will support Kannada workers and protest fiercely. We will not allow the film to be released under any circumstances.

Kannada language was not born from Tamil

Actress Jayamala, who was the head of KFCC between 2008-2010, said, ‘Whenever there is a language dispute, all Kannada people should unite. This is our duty. What Kamal Haasan said intentionally or unknowingly said was wrong. Kannada is not born from Tamil.

He also said that instead of justifying the mistake, there is nothing wrong in expressing regret for him. We are trying to talk to them and trying to convince them that their words were going to hurt the Kannada people very much. It is his moral responsibility to apologize.

Pointing to Kannada actor said

During the audio launch event of his new film ‘Thug Life’ in Chennai on 24 May, South Superstar Kamal Haasan pointed to Kannada actor Shiv Rajkumar and said- ‘Shiva Rajkumar is like my family, so he is here. I started my talk with life, relationship and Tamil. Your language (Kannada) has come out of Tamil, so you are also our part. ‘
