Married women of Jamantara and Miijam areas looked fast to Nirjala, praying for her husband’s long life and happy marriage. After fasting throughout the day without consumption of water, the evening married couples performed Karwa Chauth worship in traditional costumes with sixteen exploitation. Women of Bazaar Road, Court Road, Sarkaldih etc. of Jamtara celebrated Karwa Chauth. There was a lot of enthusiasm for buying Mehijam Bazaar, Hill Road, Station Road in surrounding areas, Mehndi, Makeup material and worship items from morning. In the evening, women want to worship Lord Shiva and Parvati and intact good luck. The women were eagerly waiting for the moon at night. As soon as the moon appeared, the married women saw the moon and their husbands through a sieve and offered the arrows and then took water from the husband’s hand and breaked the fast. There was excitement in every house on the occasion. Family members greeted each other with sweets and greeted Karwa Chauth. This festival of Karwa Chauth is considered a symbol of love, faith and unity in marriage.
