Navjot Singh Sidhu appeared outside the knowledgeable tea stall of Amritsar today, where he said that he never considers politics as a business. Targeting the present government, Sidhu said that Punjab is being run as a mafia. According to him, the government has no vision for the development of the state. He clarified that he had come to bring change, not to do business in politics.
Commenting on the governments of the last 30 years, Sidhu said that all governments were under the control of the mafia. Referring to his honesty, he said that he was not accused in 15 years of politics.
This statement came before the 2027 elections. Earlier, his wife Navjot Kaur Sidhu had also spoken of returning to politics after recovering from his illness. Expressing concern over the current state of the state, Sidhu said that no policy changes have been made in Punjab and the government is running the state only by taking loans.
