Bihar Election 2025: NDA has given maximum chance to 31 percent upper caste candidates in Bihar assembly elections. The five constituent parties of the NDA have together given 85 of the 243 seats to upper caste candidates. Most of them 38 belong to Rajput community. This is about 15.63 percent. In second place are Bhumihar Samaj leaders, who got 32 seats. He got 13.16 percent of the total 243 seats. While the Brahmin caste has been given a little more than 10 percent i.e. fifteen seats. Among the upper castes, the Kayastha caste got about one per cent ie two seats.

Among the backward castes, Kurmis got the highest number of tickets.

At the same time, among backward castes, Kurmi caste candidates have got the highest participation. If the Love and Kush equation is added, this number approaches 37 i.e. 15.22 percent. More than ten percent of the tickets were also distributed to prostitutes. Among extremely backward castes, maximum 27 i.e. JDU has given 27 percent of its quota of 101 seats to EBC i.e. extremely backward castes. Overall 24.69 percent Most Backward Castes have been given participation in NDA. Among the constituent parties, the JDU has placed the maximum share on the Most Backward Castes. Among the Dalit castes, the Paswan community has the highest chance of contesting elections.

Nine percent upper caste candidates in the Grand Alliance

RJD, becoming the largest party in the grand alliance, has fielded its candidates on 143 out of 243 seats. RJD has canceled the tickets of 36 sitting MLAs. Talking about the social equation, the maximum 35 percent of the candidates on these 143 seats belong to the Yadav caste. That means total 51 candidates of RJD belong to Yadav community. The number of Yadav candidates in the 243 seats of the Grand Alliance is 62, which is about 15 per cent. There are five Yadav candidates of Congress and seven candidates of Left parties. Similarly, RJD has fielded 18 minority candidates at the second position. Which is 13 percent compared to RJD’s total seats. Similarly, the third position has 14 candidates from the Kushwaha community, which is 10 percent of RJD’s total seats. RJD has given 11 percent tickets to upper caste candidates. In which six belong to Rajput caste, six belong to Bhumihar community and three belong to Brahmin community. Among the former castes, about eight percent of the candidates also belong to the Vaishya caste. While one candidate from Kurmi caste has been given.

The grand coalition has a total of 39 upper caste candidates, which is nine per cent of the total. Among the most backward castes, the Grand Alliance has fielded 30 candidates i.e. 12 percent of the total 243 candidates. Among these, nine candidates from Congress, eight from VIP and five from RJD are the most. The remaining three are candidates from Tanti, Tattva and Left parties. The Grand Alliance has fielded a maximum of 19 i.e. 13 percent of the 38 SC candidates. Congress has fielded 12 candidates while Left parties have fielded 10 candidates. Among the Muslim candidates, after the RJD, the Congress has fielded 10 candidates and the CPI(ML) has fielded one SC candidate.
