India’s Golden Boy Neeraj Chopra has illuminated the country in an international spear throw competition by winning the gold medal in the Austra Golden Spike organized in the Czech Republic. Neeraj threw 85.29 meters in the third round, which no other player could cross.
South Africa’s Dove Smit threw 84.12 meters in the second round, which was his Best performance in six rounds. He stayed in second place. Granada Peter Anderson threw 83.63 meters in his first attempt and had the Best performance in these six rounds. He finished third.
IAAF participated in the IAAF Continental Cup in 2018
Neeraj had earlier participated in the IAAF Continental Cup in Austra in 2018, where he finished sixth with a throw of 80.24 meters. However, in Austra Golden Spike, this was his first presence. Neeraj Chopra ended the event with a foul throw. But world champion Chopra will be happy with his performance as he has won another event in a row after the Paris Diamond League.
