One more HMPV case in Gujarat: 59-year-old middle-aged man from Kutch reports positive, five cases reported in state

Another positive case of HMPV virus has been reported in Ahmedabad, in which the number of positive cases has increased, in which a 59-year-old senior citizen from Kutch has tested positive. The patient is currently undergoing treatment at Zydus Hospital. This patient has no travel history.

With this case, a total of five cases of HMPV have been reported in Ahmedabad. Earlier, a nine-month-old baby in Ahmedabad, an 80-year-old man and an eight-year-old child in Himmatnagar were also reported infected with HMPV.

HMPV is a common respiratory disease. The virus enters the respiratory tract and causes lower and upper respiratory tract infections.
