Boeing 787 Dreamliner flew for London’s Gatwick at 1:30 pm on Thursday. However, just a few seconds of takeoff, the plane crashed at a hostel of a medical college located in Meghaninagar area. More than 274 people were killed in the horrific accident, including 229 passengers, 12 crew members, 33 locals and medical college students aboard the plane.
The pilot sent a dangerous message to ATC
Now it has been reported that the pilot was already suspected of having a technical defect in the plane. In a message sent to the Air Traffic Control (ATC), the frightened voice of senior pilot captain Sumit Sabharwal can be heard, in which he says, ‘Made … Made … Made … Power … No Thrust … Going Down …’
This message was only 5 seconds, but the danger and crisis in it is enough to say that the pilot tried the Best to control the flight until the last moment.
The plane could not reach the height
As the plane began to get the height, it lost its power and shock, causing it to fall down quickly. The hostel building was the most damaged in the accident, where many medical students and local residents lost their lives.
Former Gujarat Chief Minister Vijay Rupani was also aboard the plane, who died in a plane crash. A black box of the plane was found on Thursday night, while the search for another black box and digital video recorder (DVR) is still ongoing. These devices can provide information about the technical aspects of the aircraft and the last decisions of the pilot.
The Civil Aviation Ministry has constituted a high-level committee to investigate the horrific accident. The panel will analyze the causes of the accident as well as review the existing standard operating process (SOP) and safety guidelines.
