Senators Top Maple Leafs for Sixth Straight Winning

Toronto-Claude Girox scored a winner on the second period power play, as the TT Tova Senators toped Toronto Maple Leafs 4-2, so that their sixth straight win on Saturday night.

Jack Sanderson, David Peron and Michael Amadio, in empty mesh, were other goals for Ottawa (36-25-5). Lynus Allmark saved 20 for senators, who have won seven of their last eight.

William Nilender and AUST Stun Mathews replied to Toronto (39-24-3), who left five of his last six. Anthony Stollerz stopped 21 shots on Scotiabank Arena.

Senators now overtake their provincial rivals by four points of Atlantic Division standings. Tampa two Lightning Toronto is third after beating Boston Brune 6-2, while in fourth place TT Tova occupies the first wild-card spot of the Eastern Council.
