The body of a woman believed to be one of the four dead hostages killed by Hamas was positively identified on Saturday morning.
The identity of Shiri Bibas was confirmed at the hostages and the missing family forum headquarters, which returned to Israel on Friday, then Hamas initially handed over to a Palestinian woman from Gaza on Thursday.
On Friday, Hamas handed over the coffin carrying Bibas on the Red Cross, which turned ArtHe coffee to Israeli officials. The coffin was then taken to the National Institute forensic medicine for identification.
“Last night, our Shiri returned home,” the family said in a statement. “Following the identification process of the forensic Medicine Institute, we received the news this morning – our Shiri was killed and now he has returned home to his sons, husband, sister and all his family for rest.”

“Despite our fears of their destiny, we hope we have to hug them, and now we will suffer from pain and heart.” “We asked for certainty for 16 months, and now it is here, it will not bring any rest, though we hope it is starting to close.”
The family said that “Shiri was a wonderful mother of Ariel and Kefir, a loving partner of the yard, a dedicated sister and aunt and a beautiful friend.”
Israel’s Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu said on Friday that instead of the remains of Hamas Bibas, Gaza will “pay the full price” for handing over the body of a Palestinian woman.

The Israeli army had earlier said that it was positively identified with two sons of Bibas – Ariel and Kefir Bibas – Odd Lifsheets. Four bodies were returned on Thursday, but Shiri Bibas had no hostage.
Hamas said he had no interest in stopping any bodies in his possession. ” The terrorist group said the dead hostages were killed by Israeli airstrikes in 2023 on Thursday and the bodies were misled in the area due to bombing.
After Shiri Bibas returns, the family is calling for the rest of the hostages held in Gaza. Six are being introduced on Saturday.

The Bibas family said, “In this difficult hour, we still continue to demand and call the rest of the hostages to compensate for imprisonment. There is no more important goal. Without them, there could be no rehabilitation,” the Bibas family said.
