South Korea’s Gimhe has avoided a major tragedy at the international airport on Tuesday night. A passenger plane was set on fire at the airport, before the plane was preparing to fly, the fire broke out in the back of the plane. It is being said that 176 passengers were aboard the plane. According to the information, no casualties were reported in the accident, all passengers and crews have been safely evacuated.
The aircraft was preparing to fly from Busan to Hong Kong
The Air Busan plane was reported to have set on fire before the A321 was preparing to fly to Hong Kong from Busan to Busan. The 45 fire brigade car then reached the spot immediately. The incident took place at around 10:30 pm and a video has also surfaced, which can be seen that smoke is coming out of the back of the plane and there are also fire brigade vehicles and many people are present around the plane.
All passengers and crew members secure
According to officials, all passengers and crew members were evacuated using an inflatable slide. Three people were injured in the accident, who have been hospitalized. However, their condition is not serious. The fire brigade has taken full control of the fire. The fire incident is currently under investigation.
This second plane accident in 1 month
This is the second plane accident in South Korea in 1 month. A similar tragedy happened in South Korea on December 29 last year. Jeju Air’s Boeing 737-800 plane crashed at Muan International Airport. 179 out of 181 people died in the accident and only 2 survived. The landing gear of the aircraft did not work, causing the plane to slip off the runway, collided with a concrete structure and set fire.
