“Lowe has chosen our content to create a wonderful, wrapped top for Paula’s Ibisa 2025 collection,” Orange Fiber said in a post on its official LinkedIn account.
Lowee has depicted the Citria Fabric made by Pyretex and Orange Fiber in its Paula’s Ibisa 2025 collection. Made from Sicilian Citrus Peel Agri-West, durable fibers are combined with wooden pulp to produce Tensel Limited Edition X Orange Fiber Leosel yarn. Completely detected and European-built, with textile innovation refers to a new vision of luxury combination stability.
The innovation of the fabric stems from abundant citrus waste generated in Italy – 700,000 tonnes of orange peel is left annually after juice extraction. This agricultural-discipline is wet or dried in the sun in Sicily, is well cleaned, and processed to extract cellulose.
The resulting fiber is combined with wood pulp jointly using a low-effect method for the production of tensl, resulting in a durable limosel yarn branded as a TENCEL Limited Edition X Orange Fiber.
Once produced, the yarn is rotated in Italy and moved to Portugal, where it is woven and finished by the pyretex. The results are fully 100 percent tracedable fabric manufactured in Europe, where citrus agri-vest effectively replaces the part of the virgin wood pulp.
Pirex said in a LinkedIn post, “Piratex Citria Fabric Collection focuses on re -use of the citrus agricultural waste, aligns with our Spanish and Mediterranean Identity. It represents a new concept of luxury based on harmony between stability and technological innovation.”
