With the century of Karun Nair and half a century of Danish Maliver, Vidarbha’s team strengthened its position in the Ranji Trophy final against Kerala on Saturday.
Vidarbha’s team scored 249 for four in the second innings of the fourth day. At the time of the stump, Nair 132 and skipper Akshay Wadekar were playing four runs. Kerala’s first innings was reduced to 342 runs and Vidarbha’s team took a 37 -run lead on the first innings. Thus, Vidarbha has taken a total of 286 runs.
Vidarbha’s team had a poor start of the second innings and Parth Rakhad was dismissed for a run. Then Dhruv Shore also scored five runs, which led to Vidarbha lost both opener. Danish and Nair advanced the innings and put the team in a strong position with 184 runs for the third wicket. Danish scored 73 off 162 balls with five boundaries. Nair hit 280 balls and hit 10 boundaries and two sixes.
