The world has been watching Vaibhav Suryavanshi’s amazing batting skills for the past few months. From IPL to Under-19 and Emerging tournaments, he has showcased his batting skills in various parts of the world. But not just with his batting, Vaibhav also has the ability to win hearts with his words. After scoring a blistering century in the very first match of the U-19 Asia Cup, Vaibhav did something similar, showing his carelessness by sledging.

Vaibhav Suryavanshi scored a blistering century, scoring 171 runs in the very first match of the tournament against UAE at the ICC Academy in Dubai. He completed this run in just 95 balls, which included 14 sixes and 9 fours i.e. 23 boundaries. He completed his century in 56 balls, the highest score of his short career. Based on this innings, the Indian team won and Vaibhav was adjudged player of the match.

My focus was on batting

After the match, when Vaibhav went to collect his award, he was asked a specific question. While Vaibhav was batting, the UAE wicketkeeper was trying to distract him by talking from behind. When asked how he maintained his focus, Vaibhav replied, “Sir, I am from Bihar. So, if someone says something later, I don’t care. A wicketkeeper’s job is to keep talking. My focus was on batting.

Vaibhav is also making records

This statement proved that even at the age of 14, Vaibhav Suryavanshi clearly understands that no matter what the world says, it is important to focus on the task at hand. Clearly, the young batsman is implementing this, and the results are evident in his batting. Apart from being the youngest Indian batsman to score a century in IPL and fastest century in youth ODI cricket, he also holds the record for fastest century in youth ODI cricket. Additionally, he recently became the youngest batsman to score a century in the Syed Mushtaq Ali Trophy.
