The Indian team is currently undergoing a change phase in all three formats. In this situation the team will have to prepare a pool of good fast bowlers. Especially in Test cricket, there are no good options for fast bowling right now.
The BCCI has made a big decision in this situation and called 22 young fast bowlers to the National Cricket Academy. Where these 22 players are being prepared for the future by giving different training.
BCCI started preparations in NCA
The Indian Cricket Board called NCA to 22 fast bowlers to prepare for the future. These include 14 emerging fast bowlers and 8 fast bowlers from the under-19 team. According to the media report, the names of Khalil Ahmed, Tushar Deshpande, Vijay Kumar Vaisakha, Yash Thakur, Raj Bawa, Junvir Singh and Anshul Kamboj are included. Apart from this, some other bowlers also participated in the camp.
The BCCI made the official announcement of the camp and said, “Apart from the fitness evaluation, players also worked on skill growth and strategic skills under the guidance of Fast Bowling Coach Mr. Troy Kuli at the BCCI Center of Excellence.”
The board will keep on these players in the future
According to media reports, BCCI is going to take care of these players next domestic season as well. So that they can be given a chance to the test team in the future. Bowlers are available from IPL for T20 format, but for Test and ODI format, BCCI wants to keep local cricket as norms. Because of this, these players are already getting ready for a long local season. Indian team management is currently looking for fast bowlers who can throw a long spell.
