Ahmedabad: A search operation has been conducted by the GST department in the state by raiding different traders. Traders from Chemicals, Gift Articles, Electronics, Beauty Parlor have come under the GST department. Based on the information received by the GST department, more than nine crore tax evasion has been seized to these different traders.

Action has begun on selling traders without the bill of the State GST department. There have been an estimated tax evasion of Rs 9.11 crore. Details released by the GST department states that the Gujarat State GST Department, on January 21, 2025, to prevent tax evasion ie bills, was operated in various fields, including chemicals, gift articles and toys, Electronics, beauty parlor and man power. Traders were raided there.

Out of the 14 traders, 8 traders were in Ahmedabad, 3 traders in Surat, 2 traders in Vapi and 1 traders. During the investigation, irregularities were considered such as non -accounting sales and low responsibilities of taxes and estimated Rs. 9.11 crore tax evasion has been discovered. Currently, following the proceedings of the GST department, there has been a flurry of tax evasion. Such traders are also investigating the sale of goods made by the traders by the GST department so that details of how much goods have been sold without bills are also being obtained. The GST department is still taking action against such traders. The GST investigation is still likely to come out more tax evasion.
