Salman Agha is the captain of Pakistan’s T20 team, Shaheen Afridi is the captain of the ODI team and Shan Masood is the captain of the Test team.
Pakistan’s poor performance under Rizwan’s captaincy
Babar Azam was the captain of Pakistan’s ODI team in the 2023 ODI World Cup, but due to the team’s poor performance, he was removed from the captaincy and Mohammad Rizwan was appointed as the new ODI captain. The Pakistani team performed poorly in the ICC Champions Trophy 2025, failing to even reach the semi-finals. Subsequently, the team lost the ODI series against the West Indies.
