Former New York Star Brett Gardner and his wife Jessica announced the heartfelt death of his son, Miller’s, on Sunday. He was 14 years old.
Gardeners said in a statement by the team that Miller died on Friday after being ill when he was on vacation. The parents said other family members were also ill. They said they were looking for answers.

“With a heavy heart, we are saddened to announce the passing of our youngest son Miller. He was 14 years old and left us very soon after he was on vacation when he was on vacation.” “We have a lot of questions and many answers at this time, but we know that he died peacefully in his Sleep on Friday, March 21, Friday morning.
“Miller was a beloved son and brother and we still do not understand our life without his infectious smile. He loves footb, l, baseb, l, golf, hunting, fishing, his family and his friends. He lives a full life every day.”
The Gardner family thanked the people who have shown support for them and asked for privacy.

Yankees also issued a statement on Miller’s death.
“Our hearts are heavy, and after reporting that Miller Gardner passed, the Yankees family is full of misery,” the team said. “Words in trying to describe such an incredible loss seem to be negligible and inadequate. It was not just a brett that was literally grown in this organization for more than 17 years – so his wife, Jessica and his two boys, Hunters and Miller were.”
“We lamented the loss of Miller from Brett, Jessica, Hunter and his family and friends, whose eyes have sparks, outgoing and festive personality and a warm and loving nature.
“Our love for the Gardner family is unconditional and perfect, and we will give our permanent support at this time, understanding their desire for privacy.”
It is unclear where the Gardner family got on vacation.

Gardner was an outfilder for Yankees for the 14 season and was on the team when he won his last World Series title in 2009.

He retired after the 2021 season and has since been far from baseball.
