Torrent Power has clarified that the power supply will be closed in some areas of Ahmedabad on May 2 and 3, 2025. There is no plan to close supply in large areas.

It has been reported that there will be no electricity from 10am to 5pm in most areas of Ahmedabad. Due to this, the people of Ahmedabad are very worried. Torrent Power has clarified on this. It is stated that information on social media and news media about the large -scale power supply was closed in some areas of Ahmedabad on the second and 3rd May, 2025. However, there is currently no plan to close supply in large areas.
Torrent Power has provided the following information for the public and appealed to the public to stay away from the wrong message circulating on social media.
This organized shutdown will affect the customers of the societies only from the transformers under maintenance. The areas are notified only 48 hours before the shutdown so that they do not have to be discomfort and the necessary planning.
