MUMBAI: Four workers were killed and two other hospitals were killed after inhalation of nitrogen gas leaked to a pharmaceutical company in Tarapur MIDC in Palghar district of Maharashtra on Thursday.
The incident was around 130 km from here, located in the Industrial Dyogat area of ​​the Boizer at Medley Pharma, they said.
Vivekananda Kadam, chief of the Palghar District Disaster Management Cell, said that between 2.30pm and 3pm, gas was leaked from the nitrogen reaction tank in the pharma company, which had a serious impact on six persons working there.
He said six workers were immediately taken to a hospital, where four of them died in the evening. “
Two others are currently undergoing treatment at the intensive care unit (ICU) at the hospital, he added. Officials said that the deceased was identified as Kalpesh Raut, Bangli Thakur, Dheeraj Prajapati and Kamlesh Yadav, while Rohan Shinde and Nilesh Hadal were undergoing treatment, officials said.
