President Donald Trump has invited El Salvadorian President Nayab Bukele to visit him at the White House later this month, according to Trump’s April 1 letter Bukele shared on Wednesday night X.
Fox News Digital reached the White House on Thursday morning to request a comment as well as confirming the letter posted by Bukeel, but did not respond until the time of the release.
“Your support for fighting illegal immigration is greatly appreciated by Trump,” Trump said. “For a long time, our southern border has been an open door. With the help of friends like you, we have made big progress to protect Americans from illegal border activities.

Trump further said, “Even the importance of our partnership is that you want to use El Salvador’s new Superman prison for members of the Train De Aragua and MS -13 gangs. You have shown real leadership and are a model for others who want to work with the United States.”
The Department of Homeland Security Secretary Christie Nome visited Al Salvador’s imprisoned center Soccut last month.
Trump concludes the letter by inviting Bukele to join the White House on April 14.

On Monday, Bukele noted, “Last night, in a joint military operation with our colleagues in the United States, we transferred 17 highly dangerous criminals affiliated with Train De Aragua and MS -13. All persons confirmed, including six child rapists and high profile.”
President Trump thanked the foreign leader.
“Al Salvador’s President Bukele, Thanks to the Crude Bi Biden Administration, to enter our country, and to give them such a wonderful place to live, for the criminals were very foolishly allowed!” Trump announced on social media.
